Q. What is the registration process to enroll in an adult education program?
A.
Individuals interested in a program must complete both the state required forms and a pre-assessment.
Q. How many tests are required to obtain a GED?
A.
There are 4 subject area tests. Each test requires a passing score of 145.
Mathematical Reasoning (120 Minutes)
Reasoning through Language Arts (155 Minutes)
Social Studies (75 Minutes)
Science (95 Minutes)
Q. How much does it cost?
A.
$36 per test and $10 for each retake
(Note: If you attend classes or participate in our distance learning program, you will receive a voucher that will cover the cost of the tests.)

How long does it take to obtain a GED?
A.
It all depends on the individual.
Q.
How do I prepare for the GED tests?
A.
Students may study online in an account created in Essential Education during registration. Students may also check out subject area books/resources available at the office. We have an instructor available during regular office hours to assist students with individual tutoring as needed.
